This Privacy Policy describes how Scan & Label collects, uses, and shares the information we collect from and about you when you use Scan & Label’s web-based application (the "Service"). When you access or use the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our End User License Agreement & Terms of Use.

Personal Information Collected by Scan & Label

In order to create your user account, we collect personal information, such as your name, email address, payment information, and Amazon account information when you register for an account on the Service referred to herein as your "Profile Information." Scan & Label may store this information indefinitely for record purposes.

If you subscribe to our Service, we will collect payment information, including your credit card number, billing address, and phone number. We do not store this information. We send this information to a third-party credit card payment processing company to process the initial and any recurring payments. See the section titled "Sharing Your Information With Trusted Service Providers."

If you email us, we may retain a record of such email communication, including your email address, the content of your email, and our response indefinitely.

Your Content

Your use of the Service will involve connecting to the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) to retrieve information regarding your Amazon seller inventory including product identifiers, names, and other inventory details (together, the "Content"). We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide the Service, and we do NOT collect data on your Amazon orders, accounting, or communications.

Other Data Collected
Session information: When you access the Service, a session is created after you log in. A unique identifier is used to associate your login with your user account so you can maintain access to the Service.

Log files: Our servers automatically record certain information in server logs when you access the Service. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, referring/exit pages and URLs, and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information. Log files help us to monitor, analyze, improve, and maintain the Service and to diagnose and fix any Service-related issues.

How Do We Use Your Information?

Your Content: Your Content is required to be stored in our databases so the Service can generate the labels that you request. Scan & Label may view your Content only as necessary to provide the service. This may include performance monitoring, developing improvements to the Service, or to resolve a support request from you.

Email address: We may use your email address to communicate with you including sending you Service-related notices.

Cookies: We use technologies like cookies in order to provide the Service. For example, a cookie is used to maintain your session after you have logged in. You can edit the options in your web browser to prevent the use of cookies; however, please note that this may cause some functions of the Service to not work.

How We Share Your Information

We may share the information we collect from you with third parties as detailed below.

Sharing Your Information Trusted Service Providers

Trusted third-party service providers are utilized to deliver the Service including hosting our Service (including your information), sending out email updates, or processing payments. These service providers may have access to your information for the limited purpose of providing these services.

The US-based third-party service providers utilized by Scan & Label are as follows:

  • Amazon Web Services – hosting provider
  • Stripe – payment processing services
  • Sendgrid – email processing service

We may disclose your information (including your personally identifiable information) to comply with a law or regulation; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; to protect Scan & Label’s rights or property; or respond to valid legal process requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and other public and government authorities, which may include authorities outside your country of residence.

As Part of Aggregate and Non-Personally Identifiable Activities

We may disclose aggregate non-personally identifiable information (such as aggregate and anonymous usage statistics, our # of subscribers, etc.) about the overall use of our Service publicly or with interested third parties to help them understand, or to help us improve, the Service.

Data Protection

Protection of your information is important. All information between your browser and our servers are encrypted. Sensitive information shared with third-party providers (such as credit card numbers) are transferred using industry-standard encryption.

Scan & Label takes reasonable and industry-standard physical, organizational, and technical precautions to protect the integrity, security, and confidentiality of your information. Security measures are implemented to guard against unauthorized access including hosting data in secure data centers and implementing access controls, data encryption, firewalls, and monitoring tools to protect your information.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

International Data Transfer

The Scan & Label Service is based in the United States. Your information and content may be accessed by us or transferred to us in the United States or to our third-party service providers who are located worldwide. If you are visiting our Service from outside the United States, please note that you are transferring information, including personal information, to the United States where our servers are located, and our central database is operated. By using our Service, you consent to any transfer of this information.

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices even if your web browser sends Do Not Track signals.
